Day 01: Cochin (Arrival)

You will be arrived at Cochin International airport Or Railway station and transfer to your pre booked hotel with warm welcome with our tour representative. Cochin set on a cluster of islands and narrow peninsulas, the port city of Cochin (Kochi) (Queen of Arabia) reflects the eclecticism of Kerala perfectly. It has a rich network of backwaters and is the culture and heritage centre of Kerala. Check-in your hotel and this is the leisure time and take your own choice for today. In the evening just wander around a part of the city. Have a delicious dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and over night stay in hotel.

Day 02: Cochin

After breakfast take visit of Cochin sightseeing - visit Jewish Synagogue, constructed in 1568, is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. It is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. Mattancherry Palace or Dutch Palace has fine collection of mural paintings depicting the scenes from the Hindu epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. It is closed on Fridays. In Fort Cochin visit St. Francis Church, the oldest church built by European in India. Vasco da Gama was buried here in 1524 before his remains were moved to Lisbon, Portugal. The tombstone still remains. Also visit Chinese Fishing Nets that are the most efficient means of backwater fishing. Over night stay in Hotel.

Day 03: Cochin - Periyar ( By road 195 kms / 04 hrs)

After breakfast check-out and drive to Periyar which is rich in bio-diversity and riverside beauty. This is South India's most popular wildlife sanctuary, encompassing an area of 777 sq. km. Though the sanctuary was made a part of Project Tiger in 1973. Tigers and elephants are the main attractions of the Periyar Lake. You can spot an elephant at the banks of Lake Periyar. There are trees more than 100 years old and over 50 m high .Over night stay in hotel.

Day 04: Periyar - Kumarakom ( By road 185 kms /04 hrs)

In the early morning game viewing by boats. Periyar exploration will be incomplete if you miss a boat ride on Lake Periyar. This biosphere reserve has a varied range of flora and fauna. The elephants are the most majestic among all the things to watch in Periyar. They can be spotted on the lake shores bathing and basking in the sun. and many other species such as leopard, wild dog, barking deer, mouse deer, Nilgiri langur (an endangered primate), bonnet macaque, sambhar, porcupines, squirrels, gaur (Indian bison), wild boar, and sloth bear.

Later on drive to Kumarakom.- Kumarakom lies in the scenic backwater area, on the shore of the pleasant Vembanad Lake, It is famous tourist destination in God’s Own Country Here an old rubber plantation around the lake has been developed into a bird sanctuary. A path goes through the swamp to the main nesting area, while the island in the middle of the lake can be reached by boat.

On arrival, check in the hotel. You can take a rejuvenating ayurveda massage at the resort (optional). Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 05: Kumarakom

In the morning go for an excursion to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Spot here various birds and wild animals. Return back to the resort and taste some Kerala delicious dishes. In the afternoon, enjoy the most fascinating backwater cruise in the backwaters of Kumarakom. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 06: Kumarakom – Cochin (By road 77 kms / 02 hrs)

After having a delightful breakfast drive to Cochin to board the flight/Train back to your home with sweet memories, a bundle of souvenirs and an address book full of friends. (The Tour Ends)
